The Comcast DC50X is a digital transport adaptor (DTA) made by Pace. The device is designed to translate all-digital signals for older pre-digital conversion television sets, without the use of an HD DVR device. This adaptor device was introduced by Comcast to its subscribers in order to push digital programming to new markets prior to the mandatory digital conversion enforced by the FCC. The basic instructions for setting up a Comcast DC50X adaptor are fairly straightforward.
Plug the 75-ohm coaxial cable line from the cable wall outlet into the “Cable” port in the back of the DC50X.
Plug the RF cable into the “To TV” port in the back of the DC50X, then plug the other end of the cable into the “Antenna” port in the back of the television.
Plug the AC power supply cord into the “DC IN” port in the back of the DC50X, then plug the other end of the cord into the wall outlet.
